Get to know Cameroonian artist Don Jay (Biography and profile)

Don Jay is one of the fastest-rising musicians in the Cameroon music industry. The Afro R&B and Afro-pop singer rose to fame after releasing his song Sac Au Dos. Other songs that have increased his popularity are Eposi, Call on me, Ca Gate and Fire off his extended playlist titled “The Mayor Ep“.

 

His career in music began at the age of 20. He got his musical inspiration from himself, and friends, whom he used to hang out with in the studio. He recorded his first song Celebrate, an Afrobeat tune, in 2019. Despite the storm and setback, He was discovered and loved by hundreds of music lovers In 2019. He went forward to premiere another project which he titled “Make you mine”, a love triller song.

The released of “I’m in Love” was another turning point for the artist’s career as he succeeded to penetrate the African and Russian music industry with an Epic video shot and Edited in Russia. This Mega project which gained many views in Cameroon and abroad. In March 2020, the artist released an Emotional and supportive project “Hold My Hand” song produced by Cameroonian producer “Dijay Karl”.

Same year “Sac Au Dos” The song which is a game changing project reached the top 10 of the Apple Music charts in Cameroon, Russian, Uganda, and Kenya. The clip was shot and edited in Russian by “Letta Klay Production”. The production was touched by Slimbeatz. The project stand to be the biggest so far with massive Urban Media Coverage and streamings.

The afro-pop artist has managed to release 1 Ep (Extended Playlist) so far, which is “The Mayor Ep” comprised of eight songs (Call On Me, Ca Gate, Eposi, Wait for your turn, Fire, Destiny, Change and Sorfa) respectively.
The Mayor hitmaker is not married, but it is believed that he got a girlfriend. The musician is active on various social media platforms. He is on Instagram, where he has more than 10 Thousand followers.

Don Jay is a talented Cameroon musician. His unique vocals & style have made him one of the most popular Afro-R&B and Afro-pop artists in the country. The singer is also a songwriter, and for the few years that he has been in the music industry, he has managed to steal the hearts of many music enthusiasts.
