Antonio Conceicao “ We will do everything to win the AFCON and also qualify the team for the next World Cup”

Cameroon head coach Antonio Conceicao has promised the public that they will do everything possible to win the AFCON and also qualify for the World Cup next year.

The indomitable lions of Cameroon have already started training less than two weeks to the start of the AFCON.

Cameroon paired alongside Bukina Faso, Ethiopia and Cape Verde in Group A are amongst the top six favorites to lift the trophy on home soil.
The indomitable Lions head coach Antonio Conceicao Oliveira feels he is obliged to win the tournament given the history of the Country in the AFCON.

“We have only one way: to win, win and win. This is what I was put on the table when I signed my contract: at least to arrive in the CAN final, we will do everything to win it and also qualify the team for the next World Cup (editor’s note: via the playoffs scheduled for March). We feel that the people and history of Cameroon oblige us to do so. This sets the bar quite high, but we are convinced that we can achieve these objectives. »
