He was in France earlier today where he took part in the National Days of Diasporas and Africa.

The Cameroon FA president gave a speech for the occasion and in his speech the four time African Best player winner mentioned PSG and France striker Kylian Mbappe.

“I don’t want to have a Kylian Mbappé who was born in Bordeaux on our national team but to make Kylian Mbappé who were born in our working-class neighborhoods of Cameroon. Because there are talents in our territories to value,” said Samuel Eto’o. Comments reported by our colleagues in the Cfoot newspaper.

Samuel Eto’o left the France after the ceremony and headed straight for Algiers where he was welcomed by the Algerian federation.

The Indomitable lions left for Algiers today and are expected to arrive tomorrow. They will play Algeria on Tuesday March 29th in their World Cup play offs second leg.

It’s worth noting that Cameroon lost the first leg at home 0-1 and must defeat Algeria in the Second leg to have a chance of qualifying.
