Legendary German goalkeeper Oliver Khan was full of praises for Ajax and Cameroon Goalkeeper Andre Onana.

He also believes the young goalkeeper has the potential to become the best in the World.

Andre Onana helped Cameroon qualify for the Qatar 2022 World Cup after making ten saves in the second leg of the the play offs against Algeria. Cameroon went on to win the match 2-1 thanks to a late Karl Toko Ekambi goal.

Speaking to German tabloid Sport Bild in an interview, Kahn praised Onana who he predicted could become one of the top goalkeepers in the world.

“Andre Onana is in the top five best goalkeepers in the world,” he said. “Being from the younger generation he is much more flexible than we were.”
He added that “Onana is agile, quick, fast, powerful, and his ability to start play in buildup is excellent. He is kind of like a mix between Alisson Becker and Marc Andre Ter Stegen. This guy can become the best if he keeps working hard.”

Andre Onana will be joining Inter Milan next season after agreeing a contract with the Italian side earlier this year.

The goalkeeper has suffered a form dip since returning from his doping ban that kept him out of action for over eight months.
