The Cameroonian Football Federation ( FECAFOOT) which governs football in Cameroon with President Samuel Eto’o sent a group of Cameroonian influencers to Qatar on November 18th, 2022 but no Anglophone influencer is Among them.

In August 2022 while preparing for the World Cup, former indomitable Lions player Samuel Eto’o invited over 20 Cameroonian content creators and artists in preparation for the world cup in Qatar but only three were Anglophones which are artistes ( Rinyu, Tzy Panchak, and Magasco ), they shared a moment with him in Yaoundé and they discussed how they were going to promote Cameroon during the world cup and many Anglophones were angry as their top content creators were snubbed

Fast forward to November 17th, 2022 he sent an airplane sponsored by FECAFOOT which left Cameroon to Qatar and was full of French 🇨🇲 influencers, and NO Anglophone influencer or artiste was among them, I repeat no Anglophone was Among them. This has sparked controversy online and Samuel Eto’o is currently receiving backlash from Angry Anglophone Cameroonians because all their influencers were stopped.

Many have asked what was the criteria of selection and some think it’s because of followers but they’re some of the french influencers who don’t have up to 100,000 followers where they’re Anglophone comedians with 300,000 followers and above.
