Cameroon get ‘easy’ draw in 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers as they are drawn in Group D(see full draws)
Cameroon has been drawn in Group D of the 2026 FIFA World Cup CAF Qualifiers.
Cameroon will battle it out with Cape Verde, Angola, Libya, Eswatini and Mauritius for a place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
After the expansion of the tournament from 32 teams to 48 teams, CAF has gotten an extra 4½ places in the next edition of the tournament. This means Africa will have nine teams that will qualify directly for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the possibility of having an extra team through intercontinental playoff.
The winner of each the nine Qualifiers groups will qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup directly. The best four second place teams will take part in a mini tournament, with the winner taking part in an intercontinental playoff for an additional spot in the FIFA World Cup.
Cameroon will be looking to qualify for their ninth ever FIFA World Cup. The currently hold the record for the African country that has participated in the most FIFA World Cup tournaments.
