The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon has defeated Burundi 3-0 to qualify for the 2023 AFCON in Ivory Coast.

After both teams played a goalless first half, Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for Cameroon just two minutes into the Second half, scoring his second goal for Cameroon.

Christopher Wooh added a second for Cameroon in the 59th minute. Vincent Aboubakar sealed the victory for the Lions in the 94th minute after capitalizing on a defensive error by Burundi.

The Indomitable Lions who finish top of Group C with 7 points and second placed Namibia are the teams that have qualified in the Group.

All 24 teams that will take part in the AFCON 2023 tournament in Ivory Coast are now known

The final draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Group Stage will be held on Thursday, 12 October 2023, in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

The Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON 2023)tournament starts on January 13th and will run till February 11th.
