Cameroon drop five places in latest FIFA Men’s Rankings, Nigeria gain 14 places and move into top 30
Cameroon has dropped five places in the latest FIFA Men’s Rankings after their poor AFCON 2023 performance, where they exited the tournament in the Round of 16.They have moved from 56th in the global ranking to 51st and from 7th to 9th in Africa.
Nigeria is the biggest mover in Africa, gaining 14 places and moving from 32nd to 28th in the global rankings and 8th to 3rd in Africa. This comes after their AFCON 2023 performance, which saw them reach the finals, where they lost to Ivory Coast (2-1).
AFCON 2023 winners Ivory Coast gained 10 places, moving from 49th to 39th in the global rankings, while Tunisia and Algeria are the biggest losers, each dropping 13 places and moving from 28th to 41st and 30th to 43rd in the global rankings, respectively.
