Naira Marley, a Nigerian street pop artist, has just joined the NDLEA in its fight against drug and alcohol misuse, which has caused him to once again make headlines.
The Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has appointed the well-known performer as the latest WADA campaign ambassador.
Naira Marley has previously engaged in conflict with Nigerian government organizations.
He was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on the same day that his 2019 hit song, “Am I A Yahoo Boy,” was released.
A few days after being freed from prison, he issued his well-known song “Soapy,” which highlighted the sexual proclivities of prisoners.
However, the 17th of August 2023 sees Naira Marley on the right side of the law. The chairman of the NDLEA hosted the artiste as he comes to pledge his support for the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) advocacy campaign.

The spokesperson for the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) reported this development on his X profile page. This announcement was also posted on the NDLEA’s official X page.
Naira Marley will soon release a new song to support the WADA campaign, according to the organization. The musician also released a video asking his fans and Nigerians in general to abstain from drug and substance usage.
