Well known Senegalese-American vocalist, Akon as of late stood out as truly newsworthy with his viewpoint on the Davido versus Burna Boy banter. The singer, who is best known for songs like “Locked Up,” recently gave an interview in which he said that he thinks Davido is better than Burnaboy.
This remark comes amidst the continuous conversation about the “Old Feline Versus New Feline” adventure between the two Nigerian specialists.
Davido previously stated that Burna Boy is a “new cat” in the Afrobeats scene, while he and Wizkid paved the way for the genre’s global recognition. When asked to choose between the two artists, Akon sided with Davido, describing him as a musical beast and suggesting that he deserves more recognition than he has received.
This statement from Akon has generated a buzz online and added fuel to the debate surrounding the two Nigerian superstars.
