Nigerian singer Iyanya has revealed that the cheapest amount he has spent on a song since January 2021 is N27 million.
The music star made this known in a recent tweet where he also disclosed that promoting music has become very expensive.
According to Iyanya, he spent a whopping 52 million naira on the song ‘LIKE’ which featured Davido and Kizz Daniel.
The amount covered the production of the song, its music video, and promotion.
“Promoting music has become very expensive, if you are lucky to get a song go viral make you Thank God.
“The cheapest I have spent on a song since January 2021 is 27m.
“When I dropped “LIKE” FT Davido and kizz Daniel, we spent 52million, song, Video and promotion,” he tweeted.
However, Iyanya encouraged up-and-coming artists not to be discouraged by the high cost of promoting music.
He advised them to focus on consistency and keep pushing their craft.
“This should not discourage any up and coming artiste, you can do it, all you need it’s consistency.”
