Manchester United midfielder Scot McTominay continued showing fine form for his country as he bagged another goal for Scotland on Thursday, November 16.
McTominay scored his seventh goal in Euro 2024 qualifying as his nation fought back twice in an entertaining 2-2 draw against Georgia.
The equalizer he scored on Thursday was a milestone for the midfielder, who equalled a national team record held by Steven Fletcher and John McGinn.
His goal cancelled Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s strike after the Napoli star initially gave the hosts the lead, as reported by BBC.
Thanks to his prowess in front of goal for Scotland, Manchester United fans are making the same observation about the midfielder.
Some United faithful joked that 26-year-old McTominay would be much more lethal for his club if given more chances and freedom in the middle of the park.

Initially frozen out by Ten Hag, McTominay’s moment came when he scored two injury-time goals to help United come from behind to secure a 2-1 win over Brentford on October 7. That brace changed the course of his season, as he is now back to being a regular member of Ten Hag’s squad.
Has Scotland qualified for Euro 2024?
Thankfully, the draw against Georgia will do little to hurt Scotland’s campaign, as they have already qualified for the tournament alongside Spain in Group A.

According to UEFA.com, the top spot is still up for grabs, and Scotland will have to beat Erling Haaland’s Norway at Hampden Park on Sunday, November 19, and hope Spain loses at home to Georgia.

The Liverpool star scored a 27-minute hat-trick before adding his fourth of the game late as the Pharaohs strolled to a 6-0 win at home.
