As the first African recipients of the iHeartRadio Titanium Award, Grammy-winning Nigerian singers Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, and Temilade Openiyi, better known as Tems, have been recognized.

The Titanium Grant is given to artistes whose melodies earned 1 billion twists across iHeartRadio stations in America.

The award was presented to Wizkid and Tems after their smash hit “Essence” received one billion spins on iHeartRadio stations.

Tems’ director, Muyiwa Awoniyi, shared a video clasp of the honor by means of his Instastory as of late.

Recall that the song, which was originally housed in Wizkid’s fourth studio album, ‘Made In Lagos’, became popular on American mainstream radio after a remix version was released with Canadian singer Justin Bieber in 2021.
