Asake’s highly praised debut album “Mr Money with The Vibe” has hit another streaming milestone, becoming the first African album to gain half a billion Audiomack streams.
The album, which debuted in early September of last year, has kept breaking streaming records and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
Asake undoubtedly had one of the biggest debuts in 2022, and the digital streaming service revealed that his debut album, “Mr. Money With The Vibe,” broke an incredible historical record.
The artist continues to be a significant pole on the streets.
Recall, The project broke a record on Apple Music by receiving the most first-day streams and opening three-day streams of any African album. Additionally, it created history by being the first album whose complete tracklist made Apple Music Nigeria’s top 12 list.
The album has the highest debut for a Nigerian album on the Billboard 200, coming in at number 66.
On the 24th of June 2023, the project becomes the first album ever by an African act to hit 500 MILLION streams on the streaming platform, Audiomack.
A platform regarded as one that serves as the reflection of the streets’ taste buds.
