Nigerian artiste Rema has stated that he makes music for everyone, revealing that his music has a lot of global appeal.
In an interview with i_D, the Mavin Records star explained that he doesn’t limit himself to a particular audience or genre, as doing so would restrict his creativity.
“I make music for everyone. That’s why my music has a lot of global appeal.
“If I say I want to make music for this kind of people, it kind of restricts my creativity,” he said.
Instead, he draws inspiration from a wide range of sources, including popular artistes like A$AP Rocky, Playboi, and Lil Yachty, as well as global genres such as K-Pop.
“I draw a lot of inspiration from a lot of people musically, art-wise, animes, clothes-wise, you know that A$APs, the Playbois, the Lil Yachtys.
“A whole lot of people that I know are really popular but I just rock with them. I listen to everything, including K-Pop. I listen to everything,” he said.
