25 year old Cameroon international and former Lazio midfielder Joseph Minala has signed with Italian Serie C side Olbia Calcio.

The player who turns 26 Thursday has been without a club since his contract was terminated by Lucchese will now be playing in the Italian 3rd division.

The player attracted Global attention when he was when he was a 17-year-old in 2014 looking to break into the first team of Serie A side Lazio.

But the only problem that he faced was his age – it was claimed he wasn’t actually 17-years-old, but 42-years-old instead.

An African football website made the astonishing claims and it got the entire football world talking about the youngster.

The Italian Football Association (FIGC) investigated Minala but the case was thrown out later that year with a statement reading: “The investigation did not show any need for disciplinary action.”

The player who has been on the ranks of Lazio 2013 after making a move from Vigor Perconti.

Since he professional debut, he has played for 8 clubs with his current club looking to be his 9th club.
Eight out of these 9 clubs are all from Italy with the only exception being Chinese side QD Huanghai which he joined in 2019.

With the 2022 FIFA World Cup fast approaching, the 25 year old will be hoping on impressing Indomiatle Lions head coach Rigobert Song and making Cameroon’s FIFA Word Cup squad.
