Legendary Juventus Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon believes Andre Onana is currently amongst the best keepers in the world.

Widely considered by many as one of the greatest Goalkeepers of all time, 45 Year-old Gigi Buffon is still up and running as he is currently playing in the Serie B Promotion Playoffs with Parma. Buffon has won almost every possible in football, with the UEFA Champions League being the only major trophy missing in his cabinet.

Speaking to Italian Newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the veteran Goalkeeper was asked about the current best Goalkeepers in the World.

“Maignan proved clearly last season what he was capable of, so it is not remotely surprising this term to see him make such remarkable saves with Milan.

“As for Onana, he made it obvious from the start that his shoulders are broad enough to handle the Inter jersey. Fighting for position with Samir Handanovic is also a tough slog. I think right now both Maignan and Onana are among the five best goalkeepers in the world.” Buffon on Andre Onana

Andre Onana is currently having one of the best seasons in his career. His eight clean sheets and 44 saves in the Champions League this season has helped guide Inter Milan to their first Champions League finals in 13 years.
