BREAKING NEWS: Former Ghanaian international Christian Atsu found dead 12 days after the earth quake in Turkey
Former Ghanaian international Christian Atsu has been found dead almost 2 weeks after the earth quake in Turkey his agent confirms.
The former Everton and Newcastle United player had scored freekick for his club Hatayspor the day before the earth quake.

The 7.8 magnitude earth quake in Turkey and Syria has claimed over 45,000 lives and over 264,000 apartments destroyed according to Reuters since Monday February 6th.
His agent, Nana Sechere, said: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce to all well wishers that sadly Christian Atsu’s body was recovered this morning My deepest condolences go to his family and loved ones. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their prayers and support.
“I ask that whilst we make the necessary arrangements, that everyone would please respect the privacy of the family during this very difficult time.”
A number of Turkey’s Super Lig sides have also paid tribute.
Christian Atsu played 65 matches for the Ghanaian national team which he scored 9 goals. He also had a lengthy club carreer playing for clubs like Chelsea, Newcastle United, Everton and Porto.
