Lionel Messi has won the 2021 balon d’or as the best player in the world.

The player has now won the award for a record 7 times which makes him the player that has won the award the most in football history.
The Argentine led Argentina to a Copa America title winning the best player of the tournament, the Golden boot and the Best playmaker award. He also guided Barcelona to a Copa Del Rey title also wining the best player of tournament and also winning the pichichi award in La liga Santander.
