“Cameroon does not play to lose” Ronaldinho warns Brazil about Cameroon
During an interview with the Brazilian press, Former World Cup Champion Ronaldinho talked about Brazil and their World Cup group. Being favorites top the group, Ronaldinho warned his country to watch out for Cameroon. The South Americans are paired with Cameroon, Switzerland and Serbia in Group G of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Ronaldinho was on the loosing side when Cameroon defeated Brazil 1-0 in the the 2003 Confederations cup group stage thanks to a Samuel Eto’o strike.
Cameroon finished second in the tournament after loosing to France 1-0 in the finals.
“I respect all the teams that are in our pool (Brazil) but I believe that Cameroon is a formation to be feared. Certainly we are 1st in the FIFA ranking, but what I remember is that Cameroon does not play to lose… they are always there to create surprise and bring down the great football nations, “said the former Brazil international.
Cameroon secured their World Cup ticket after defeating Algeria in the Play offs. Cameroon will be making their eight appearance at the World Cup in Qatar, the most by an African Country.
