Cameroon has gained 10 places in the latest FIFA World rankings after their World Cup performance.

Cameroon who were previously in the 43rd position are now ranked 33rd in the World. During the 2022 FIFA World cup, Cameroon defeated number one ranked nation Brazil 1-0, drew with 20th ranked nation (at that time) Serbia 3-3 and lost to 16th ranked nation at that time Switzerland. This results accumulated Cameroon a total of 27.86 points, taking their overall FIFA ranking points to 1499.3.

In Africa, Cameroon have now moved from 7th ranked nation in Africa to 4th position, moving pass Nigeria, Algeria and Egypt. Morocco is Africa’s highest ranked nation occupying the 11th position in global rankings after their brilliant 2022 FIFA World cup campaign where they reached the Semi finals and finished fourth. Senegal occupies the 19th position as Africa’s second highest ranked nation followed by Tunisia who occupy the 30th position in the ranking.

Brazil still occupy the top spot as the number one ranked nation in the World while Argentina occupies the Second position. Belgium are still in top 3 despite their 2022 FIFA World cup early group stage exit.
