Cameroonian Women’s Basketball Player Dulcy Fankam named in Seattle Storm Women’s NBA Roster for the 2023 Season

Dulcy Fankam Mendjiadeu, 23, has been named on the Seattle Storm roster for the Women’s NBA or popularly called WNBA for this season.

The list which was announced yesterday, May 18th features the Cameroonian international wearing her favorite number 12. Dulcy Fankam signed a three year deal with Seattle Storm and will make her Women’s NBA debut on May 20th against the Aces.

Born in Nkongsamba, Cameroon, the 23 Year-old is one of the most promising talents in the Cameroon national team and was part of the team that won Bronze in the Afrobasket on September 2021.

She had 16 points, 18 rebounds, three blocked shots, and three steals in a 67–61 win over Egypt in the quarterfinals.

She will be making her debut in the Western Conference against The Aces on May 20th.

Dulcy Fankam attended primary and second school here in Cameroon before moving to the USA to attend college where she played for South Florida in the College Basketball tournament. She was named the American Athletic Conference(ACC) co-Player of the Year (2023), also featuring in the First-team All-AAC
