This is a Case Study of Cameroonian artiste Charles Arthur Locko Samba well known as Locko and american Cola in Cameroon

Locko is one of Cameroon’s most prolific artists. By his civil name Charles Arthur Locko Samba born on May 8 , 1992 in Douala, is a Cameroonian singer, songwriter and beatmaker of R&B and afropop. He made a name for himself by posting a large number of covers of popular songs on the video-sharing site YouTube .

He is the first Cameroonian to launch a Youtube cover channel. At the time, he moved under the pseudonym of Shawmey Locko.

In 2014, he joined the Big Dreams Entertainment label and recorded his first song Perfect Girl in collaboration with the Cameroonian singer Numerica. In 2015 , he abandoned “Shawmey” to now call himself simply Locko, the name under which he then signed his first solo single entitled Margo. In 2017, iI was presented as the Cameroonian RnB revelation of the year by the French magazine Paris Match . InJune 2018, he joined the stable of Universal Music Africa under which he released his top 3 albums. He saw out his contract with UMA towards the end of last year and he been riding as a solo artiste.

On May 30th, 2022, American Cola struck a deal with Locko presenting is as the brand ambassador. With Locko as the face of both American Cola brands, the company has experienced huge expansion in Cameroon while supplying quality to masses.

The brand has also supported Locko’s career giving him visibility from huge billboard ads. Also as a healthy drink, it’s become a lifestyle. As a top artist, having a healthy lifestyle is primordial. It is in line with he company’s objectives.
