Stanley Enow is one of Cameroon’s biggest and most successful urban artists. Stanley Ebai Enow “King Kong” was born on February 8th in Bamenda, North West Cameroon. He hails from Eshobi, Mamfe Central Sub Division. The pride of his origin and tribe influenced him to assume the pseudonym ‘’Bayangi Boy’’. ??
Stanley grew up in Bafoussam, West of Cameroon, where he owes allegiance. He was raised in a typical Presbyterian family adhering to religious tenets. He became an entertainment enthusiast as a teenager.
While schooling he built himself to become a broadcaster and entertainer. This went on until her groundbreaking single “Hein Père“.
Hein pere released in March 2013 under Motherland Empire, is a song of motivation and hope to the youths in despair and it rapidly earned viral rotation across Cameroon.
Following that, he had a slew of successful hits including “Tumbuboss” and “Njama Njama Cow“. He won the Best New Act at the MTV Africa Music Awards amongst other in 2014. From there he never looked back. Fast-forward to 2022, he linked up with American hitmaking superstar Scott Storch for the production of another hit “Parapariparo”. He is now gearing up for a 10th anniversary and a new album.
About Waspito, the Cameroon digital hospital
Waspito is an e-health platform set up by a Cameroonian start-up that connects patients with doctors for instant video consultations from their smartphones.
Founded by entrepreneur Jean Lobé Lobé, Waspito aims to facilitate access to health care for many Africans, by bringing together pharmacies, laboratories, hospitals, and specialists on the same platform.
This e-health solution is particularly useful in the current context of Coronavirus disease. It makes it possible to provide medicines remotely, without the need to expose oneself to contamination.
Operational since January 2020, Waspito was selected in November 2020 with 6 other start-ups to win funding of 670,000 euros granted by Orange Ventures’ MEA Seed Challenge, an investment fund for innovative start-ups. In the future, Jean Lobé Lobé aims to extend its offer throughout the continent.
To increase its notoriety, Waspito surrounds itself more and more with known faces like Stanley Enow. A deal was struck in 2020 and has been active since then. Waspito has now raised 1,7 billion FCFA in an oversubscribed seed round by Launch African Ventures, Newtown partners, and many more. It is serving many people across the continent.
With the advent of e-health, Waspito has been doing so much to help Cameroon and Africa by bringing health and medicine to many. For Stanley, his exposure and influence have encouraged many to download and use the app and its facilities. Also, it appears in the “Parapariparo” video. Together they’ve been pushing forward health and growth for everyone.
