Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann was full of praises for inform striker Eric Maxim Choupo Moting and see’s the player playing a major role for the Bavarians in the second half of the season.

Eric Maxim Choupo Moting has been in a sensational run of form for Bayern Munich, having scored ten goals from his last nine matches across all competitions, six of which have come in the Bundesliga. Since the 5-0 win over SC Freiburg, the only match he failed to score in was Bayern’s recent 6-1 win over Werder Bremen

In a press conference from Bayern’s training camp in Doha, Nagelsmann spoke about his admiration for Choupo-Moting, who he feels will play a pivotal role in the second part of the season. “He presented himself well. Since he has been playing regularly, he’s been in better shape physically. He’s well accepted in the group, he’s a great guy. If he keeps up his diligence, he will also play a major role in the second half of the season,” Julian Nagelsmann said of the striker.

Choupo Moting was recently linked with a move to Premier league giants Manchester United this January according to the Atlethic. The move seems very unlikely now since Manchester United have signed Netherlands striker Weghorst
