Diego Godin and Valverde hits post as Uruguay play a goalless draw with South Korea.

Uruguay has played a goalless draw with South Korea. This is the fourth goalless draw of the tournament and we are still in the first round of group fixtures.

Hwang came closest to scoring for South Korea but had his shot sail over the bar in the first half.

Uruguay’s defender Diego Godin also had a header hit the post shortly before half time.

The only chance of the second half fell to Federico Valverde when his long range shot hit the outside of the post in the 88 minutes.

Group H is the group considered by many as the group of death with Ghana and Portugal all in the group.

Ghana play Portugal next at 5pm to complete the first round of fixtures for group H.
