English premier league club close to signing Franco-Cameroonian Hugo Ekitike.
Newcastle United are close to agreeing a fee for Hugo Ekitike confirms Italian Journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The 19 year old Franco-Cameroonian has been linked with a move to the English Club for weeks now.
The fee is close to €30m plus €5m add ons. Hugo Ekitike has attracted interest from many European clubs in the past months with Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid all linked with a move for the Player.
The 19 year old missed many games through injury this season but still managed 10 goals and 4 assists in 24 league appearances.
Hugo Ekitike is one the binationals the Cameroon FA has been trying to convince him on a potential international swap.
Hugo Ekitike is currently on international duty with the France U20 national team. However, he hasn’t ruled out representing Cameroon in the nearest future which he confirmed during an interview with French Newspaper L’Equipe. The Reims forward is also a big admirer and fan of Samuel Eto’o and he confirmed to have recently held talks with the FECAFOOT President.
