FIFA orders FECAFOOT to pay over 1 billion FCFA Antonio Conceicao for breach of contract.

The Cameroon football federation FECAFOOT has been sentenced to pay over 1 billion FCFA to former Indomitable Lions head coach Antonio Conceicao.

This amount corresponds to 900,000,000 (900 million francs) for abusive breach of contract and 213,750 euros in damages (140 million francs). That’s more than a billion FCFA to Antonio Conceicao.

Antonio Conceicao was sacked just before Cameroon’s World Cup playoffs match against Algeria after he failed to win the Afcon 2021 trophy with Cameroon on home soil.

The sacking seemed to pay off as Cameroon secured their World Cup qualification spot after defeating Algeria on aggregate score under new head coach Rigobert Song.
