Born in 1987 in Akwa , one of the most famous districts of the city of Douala, Franko is a Cameroonian artist from the Littoral region . He took his first steps in music in 2003, inspired by the Cameroonian group Babylone Squad.
In 2012, he released his first album titled C’est le rap que tu sais voir which earned him a nomination in the category “artist or urban music group of the year. In July 2015, Franko released the title Coller la petite which would become, in just a few months, a planetary hit. The video for the song is dated March 30, 2016, and remains the most watched Cameroonian music video on Youtube with over 60 million views till present.

The song Coller la petite broke audience records in Cameroon, Africa and Europe and was considered the African hit of the year.
On November 2, 2015, a few weeks after the release of the song Coller la petite, the song was BANNED in several regions of Cameroon and it created a whole buzz about it. He got Nominated for the Afrimma awards in two categories: Best male artist in Central Africa, Song of the year.
As we all know, Spotify just came to Africa but before it arrived here Franko has had over 1 Million streams on Colle la petite in 2018. It currently has 8 Million streams and he stands as the most streamed Cameroonian artist at the moment on spotify.
