Writing songs for people is quite a good and lucrative business but I must say some people sold their future through this.

Many artist this days don’t have inspiration but have the ability to jump on any beat and make a hit.

As a song writer/singer I believe you have the ability to know the potentials of any song before you sell.

It’s true you might have inspiration but not all songs you write, you will sing them well. For example nigerian singer Teni, who wrote like that for Davido might have sold “Case” too not knowing it was a breakthrough song for her another example is Witty Minstrel, he started music in 2005 but only blew up in 2020 what if her sold “Be Proud” ?.

As a song writer, I think it is not only about the money you’ll make after selling the song but they’re some benefits attached to it also (royalties ). Some people write song and sell them without any agreement on the royalties.

Song writers/singers be wise in taking decisions but what if you have a good song and you know you’ll be unable to push it after the release ? That is a question to always ask yourself.
