FECAFOOT president Samuel Eto’o has apologized to the Journalists who were attacked in Douala by armed men.
A group of Algerian journalists covering the AFCON tournament were attacked and robbed by armed men in Douala. The journalists, traveling as a team with other colleagues, were assaulted as they left their hotel in Douala. The items taken with you included a bag containing money, a phone and a computer.
Samuel Eto’o in an interview apologized to the Journalist involve and the Algerian federation
“For you, our dear journalist brothers, I would like to sincerely apologize to you for the attack you suffered in Douala. We ask forgiveness. This is not Cameroonian hospitality, and know that you are at home. We will refer the matter to our minister and all our authorities to tell them that our brothers are in our country and that they must feel safe as if they were in Algiers. That being said, all I have to do is wish you a good match for tomorrow. May God bless you, and above all, may your stay go as smoothly as possible, at home in Cameroon. »
