Joel Matip “turns down” Cameroon National team return according to a source close to the player
Joel Matip has reportedly turned down a return to the Cameroon national team according to sources close to the player.

Indomitable lions head coach, Rigobert Song was on a mission to convince the player who lastly made an appearance for the Indomitable lions in 2014 to return to the national team. Now it seems like his mission didn’t yield success as sources close to Joel Matip have confirmed that the player has ruled out a return.
“The defender feels it’s too urgent to return at the moment.Besides what if he comes and the team doesn’t secure qualification?” A Cameroonian football George Mbimbe expert very close to the Matip development disclosed.
