Barcelona announced the shocking News on Thursday that they have parted ways with the player.

According to L’Equipe, the French club have a contract ready for Messi for three years, with the last of those being optional. Messi will earn an annual net salary of 40 million euros, more than Neymar’s 35 million euros.

“It’s a little less than what the French club were willing to offer in the past,” L’Equipe wrote. “But it fits with the player’s demands and gives him at least two years.

“A meeting between PSG and the player’s representatives is set for Sunday.”
