Mr Leo launches “Lion of Africa Academy” | DETAILS

Cameroon artist and entrepreneur Mr Leo has launched an initiative called “LION OF AFRICA MUSIC AND ARTS ACADEMY” Specialized in identify, assist, and develop the personal, practical and technical skills of children and youth with exceptional potentials and passion in music and arts.

1) ABOUT THE INNITIATIVE

It seeks to build on my story and influence to inspire, provide capacity, mobilize resources and build the hopes of young people in Cameroon and Africa toward developing alternatives to responding to the socio-economic challenges they face every day.

2) ABOUT THE ACADEMY

It is a Specialized music academy within the LIONN of Africa Initiative with the purpose to identify, assist, and develop the personal, practical and technical skills of children and youth with exceptional potentials and passion in music and arts to benefit from world-class specialist trainings as part of a broad and balanced education, which will enable them, if they choose, to proceed towards self-sustaining careers in music and art.

3) OBJECTIVES

*Engage in talent development, Training and capacity of young men and women in music and arts through a formal advance training process (The Music Academy)

→ Develop community development projects for youth to respond to key issues including employability, gender based violence, child labor, violence and crime.

→ Support and facilitate advocacy within the entertainment industry toward re-adaptation of entertainer to engage in community development.

→ Focus on identifying and working with talented young and rising artist from under-privileged communities like the pygmies, IDPs and refugees.
