Napoli signs Zambo Anguissa from Fulham on a permanent deal. He joins the Italian giants for a fee of £15m.

Fulham highly rated midfield André Franck Zambo Anguissa has joined Napoli on a permanent deal.

Though spending many seasons on loan, Anguissa has been a Fulham player since August 2018.

The 26 year old spent last season on loan to Napoli with an option buy which Napoli has activated. The transfer fee agreed between the two clubs is £15m.

The Cameroon international featured 30 times for Napoli in the Italian league this season, helping them secure a third place finish.

He’s been considered by many as arguably the best defensive midfielder in Serie A and was ranked by whoscored.com as the third best defensive midfielder in the league.

Below is a brief summary of the club Anguissa has been loaned out to since joining Fulham from Marseille in 2018.

In August 2018, he was transferred to Fulham from Marseille and was loaned to Villarreal in July 2019 following Fulham’s relegation from the Premier League. He made his Villarreal debut on 17 August, playing full 90 minutes in a 4–4 home draw against Granada CF.

On 31 August 2021, Anguissa signed a new three-year contract with the Championship club before heading out on loan to Napoli for the 2021–22 season.

Anguissa will be joining the Cameroon camp next month as they prepare for the Afcon 2023 qualifiers and also for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
