Indomitable Lionesses winger Njoya Ajara wants to bring the AWCON trophy home.
Cameroon defeated Gambia in their AWCON 2022 qualifiers play off tie 10-1 on aggregate to qualify for the tournament which will take place in Morocco.

It’s safe to say Cameroon hasn’t had the success their male counterparts have had when it comes to African football. The Indomitable Lionesses have participated in the AWCON 12 times but haven’t been able to lift the title on a single occasion.
They have finished second place on four times, loosing to Nigeria on all four occasions

When asked about the tournament that takes place this year in Morocco, Nchout Ajara said he wants to bring the AWCON trophy home
“It’s More than a collective challenge, it is also personal. Senegal after years has done so, in our turn to offer the same happiness to our people. The time for walks is over, this trophy will return home this year. Thank you for your support. Indomitable forever,” said the Inter Milan player in remarks relayed by CFOOT.
