Indomitable Rigobert song has named his 34 man Provisional squad ahead of the AFCON 2023 Qualifiers.
The list has some new names Who are making their National team Selection for the first time.
The head coach will name the final squad in the days ahead for their fixtures against Kenya and then Burundi.
New players In the Squad
Frank Etouga Mbella(Asante Kotoko-Ghana Premier league).
The 21 year old striker has been one of the most performing players in the African Continent this season. He has and impressive record of 19 goals and 2 assists in 24 appearances for Asante Kotoko this season.
Olivier Kemen(Kayserispor-Turkish Super league).
The 25 year old central midfielder plays for Turkish outfit Kayserispor. Born in Cameroon(Douala), he moved to France at and early age and has represented the French National team at the U16,U17,U18,U19 and U20 levels.
The midfielder has 1 goal in 21 appearances in the Turkish super league this season.
Oumar Gonzalez(Ajaccio-France Ligue 2).
The 24 year old center back is one of the key players of AFC Ajaccio this season. Starting 86% of their games in the league this season, the defender has accumulated an impressive 3 goals in 33 appearances this season. Born in Cameroon, the player represented Cameroon at the U23 level in 2019.
The player also adds as a French National.
Christopher Wooh(Lens-France Ligue1).
The 20 year old Center back is one of the players Samuel Eto’o met during his recent visit Lens football club.
Born in France, the youngster has represented France at the U17 level.
He has made 14 appearances for Lens in the Ligue 1 this season, proving 2 assists.
Georges Kevin Nkoudou(Besiktas-Turkish Super League).
The 27 year old left winger hasn’t had enough playing time for his club this season but has managed to make his mark when called upon with 4 goals in 14 league appearances this season. Born in France, Nkoudou has represented France at the Junior levels. He has also played for Tottenham and Burnley in the premier league in recent years though he barely made appearances for those clubs.
