Indomitable Lions head coach Rigobert Song omits star midfielder Zambo Anguissa and Ngadeu Ngadui from his 36 man Provisional squad.

Zambo Anguissa who has been in fine form with Napoli has been omitted in the squad for the first time under Rigobert Song.

Michael Ngadui who formed a partnership with Charles Castelleto is also one of the notable absentees in the squad. The experienced center back has also been having a great performance with his club Genk. He was named Man of the match in their 1-0 win over Anderlecht yesterday.

Anguissa’s omission comes as a shock to Cameroonians as the midfielder is one of the players i team playing for big European clubs. It’s not yet clear if it’s a personal decision by the head coach or it’s due to Napoli’s allege policy on African players which probably not be the case.

The September friendlies which will be against Uzbekistan and South Korea will come as preparatory matches for the Indomitable Lions ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
