Roman Reigns is one of the top if not the biggest name in WWE at the moment.
He has more than 650 days of reign as Universal Champion. He also defeated WWE champion at that time Brock Lesnar on April 3, 2022, on Night 2 of WrestleMania 38 in a Winner Takes All match to claim both championships.
His manager Paul Heyman believes Roman Reigns will easily become the UFC champion is he decides to join UFC and take on the Current champion Francis Ngannou.
Speaking to Philadelphia inquiry, the latter was asked about his protege chances of success in the UFC.
“He has the agility and skills of a first division athlete. And never lose sight of the fact that Roman Reigns could become heavyweight champion at UFC quite easily. The aura he releases by being presented as the leader of the tribe sometimes betrays what an extremely hard man and athlete is who stands before you as your tribal leader. » said Paul Heyman
Some former Wrestling stars have switched to UFC in the past years with some enjoying success. The most recent being Brock Lesnar who became the UFC champion in his third Octagon fight after switching to UFC. Bobby Lashley has excelled in various organizations such as Strikeforce or Bellator. CM Punk, Batista and Alberto Del Rio also had their history with the discipline. Currently, Jack Hager of the AEW is making a lot of talk about him at the Bellator while still being undefeated.
As Roman Reigns is king of his division, so is Francis Ngannou in UFC. The fighter has been the UFC champion since March 27th, 2021 when he won the title for the first time against Stipe Miocic. Since then he has had one title defense against Ciryl Gane, which he won by unanimous decision making it the first decisions win of his MMA carreer. The fighter is currently out injured after undergoing Surgery on his Knee and is expected to be back in action by the end of this year. He also confirmed the possibility of a cross fight against Boxing heavyweight Champion Tyson Fury.
Ngannou has a record of 17 wins, with 12 coming by Knockout, 4 by submission and 1 by decision. He has also recorded 3 losses with all coming by decision.
