Breel Embolo breaks hearts of Cameroonians as he scores in Switzerland’s 1-0 win over Cameroon.

Cameroon came close to scoring in the first half on three occasions but couldn’t get past brilliant Switzerland Goalkeeper Sommer.

Embolo opened the scoring for Switzerland just 3 minutes into the second half, carefully placing Shaqiri’s cross into the back of the net. The striker didn’t celebrate his strike in respect for his country of origin Cameroon.

The win puts Switzerland in a comfortable position and Cameroon in a tide spot as they have to get all points in their next 2022 FIFA World Cup fixture against Serbia.

Brazil play Serbia at 8pm to complete Group G first round of fixtures.
