The “boy from Limbe” Pierre Kunde Malong scores his first goal for his new club in VFl Bochum’s 5-2 loss to FC Mainz.

Pierre Kunde Malong scored his first goal for his new club VFL Bochum in their 5-2 defeat to FC Mainz.

This was his first start for Bochum his loan move from Olympiacos after coming on in the last two league games as a substitute.

He scored his first goal for his new club in the 70th minute putting the scores at 4-1. Erhan Masovic pulled another one back for Bochum making it 4-2, before Karim Onisiwo put the home side back three goals ahead making it 5-2.

Bochum currently sit 16th in the Bundesliga table with 16 points after 18 Matchdays

Pierre Kunde Malong joined Bochum on a six months loan deal from Olympiacos earlier this month, making his return to the Bundesliga where he lastly played for FC Mainz in 2021. His loan deal has a purchase option which is only active if VFL Bochum doesn’t relegate to the second division.
