Players of the Cameroon national team have decided to offer 50 million francs to victims of the stampede that happened at Olembe Stadium leading to the death of 8 people and over 40 injured.

After expressing their condolences to the victim families and wishing the wounded of the tragedy quickly recovery, the Indomitable Lions have moved up a gear. This Saturday evening after qualifying for the tournament semi-finals, Vincent Aboubakar and his teammates decided to offer 50 million to the victims of this scramble that mourned the entire Cameroonian nation.

The amount corresponds to their qualification bonus in the Round of 16 according to reports.

In the wake, the CAF suspended the stadium until the causes of the tragedy were clarified. The next games scheduled in Olembé are relocated to the Ahmadou Ahidjo sports complex in Yaoundé.
