Choupo Moting and Vincent Aboubakar are the only active players to make the Top 10 highest Cameroon national team goal scorers of all time list.
However, Vincent Aboubakar is the only player who could pose a thread to Samuel Eto’o”s and Roger Milla’s record if he continues his current national team form. The striker is currently eight goals behind Roger Milla and 21 goals behind Samuel Eto’o’.
Below is a list of the Top 10 highest Cameroon national team goal scorers in history.
10. André Kana-Biyik
Goals: 15
Position: Defender
André Kana-Biyik was a defender who could also score goals. With a height of 1.82m, most of his goals came from headers. O was the brother of François Omam-Biyik, the scorer of Cameroon’s iconic Italia 1990 goal that gave Cameroon an iconic 1-0 over defending champions Argentina in the World Cup opening match. He was sent off in Cameroon’s match against Argentina in Italia 1990. Kana-Biyik played two World Cup tournaments with Cameroon, 1990 and 1994 FIFA World Cups.
He scored 15 goals in 59 appearances for Cameroon.
9. Emmanuel Kundé
Goals: 17
Position: Defender
Emmanuel Jérôme Kundé played as a defender.
He was part of the Cameroon national team squad at the World Cups of 1982 and 1990, and won the 1984 and 1988 African Nations Cups.
Kundé scored the winning goal in the 1988 African Nations Cup final against Nigeria with a penalty kick. Two years later, in the 1990 World Cup quarterfinal match against England, he scored to equalize the score 1–1, again via a penalty kick. He also took part in 1992 African Nations Cup while playing for Olympic Mvolyé.
Kundé has 17 goals in 102 caps with Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions.
8. Pierre Webó

A Cameroon international in the 2000s, Webó appeared with the country in two World Cups and as many Africa Cup of Nations.
He scored a hat trick in his Cameroon national team debut in a 3-2 victory against Ivory Coast.
Pierre Webó scored 19 goals for Cameroon in 59 appearances.
7. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting

Position: Striker
One of the two active players on the list, you wouldn’t rule him out climbing the rankings the next few years.
Choupo Moting is a centre forward who plays for Bayern Munich in Germany. Though he represented Germany at the Under 19 and Under 21 levels, Choupo Moting decided to switch allegiance and play for the Cameroon national team. He earned his first call up in 2010 when he was named in Cameroon’s squad for the tournament in South Africa.
Choupo Moting has represented Cameroon at three FIFA World Cup tournaments in 2010, 2014 and 2022.
Choupo has scored 20 goals so far with the Cameroon national team.
6. Alphonse Tchami

Position: Striker
Tchami participated in the 1994 and 1998 World Cups with Cameroon and the 1996 AFCON tournament. He has 21 goals in 57 appearances for Cameroon.
5. François Omam-Biyi
Goals: 26
Position: Striker
Omam-Biyik participated in three world cups (1990, 1994 and 1998). He was the one who scored the goal that gave Cameroon a historic 1–0 win over defending world champions Argentina in the San Siro in the opening match of the 1990 World Cup. Omam-Biyik also was part of the team that won the 1988 AFCON tournament. He has 26 goals in 73 appearances for Cameroon.
4. Patrick M’Boma

Position: Strker
He got his first cap for Cameroon in 1995. Mboma played in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups, and also led Cameroon to the gold medal at the 2000 Olympics and victories at the 2000 and 2002 African Nations Cups which he won the top scorer award. He was named African Footballer of the Year for his efforts in 2000. He scored a memorable overhead kick against France in 2000 .
Mboma scored 33 goals in 57 matches.
3. Vincent Aboubakar
Goals: 35 Goals
Position: Striker
The other active player on the list, Aboubakar currently captains the Cameroon national team and plays for Besiktas in Turkey. He made his debut for Cameroon in a friendly match against Slovakia in 2010. He won the AFCON tournament in 2017 and got a third place finish in the 2021 AFCON on home soil where he also won the golden boot with 9 goals.
Vincent Aboubakar has represented Cameroon at the 2010, 2014 and 2022 FIFA World Cup tournaments. He scored 2 goals in the 2022 FIFA World Cup with one of them coming in an iconic 1-0 win over Brazil.
He currently has 35 goals in 87 caps for Cameroon.
2. Roger Milla

Position: Striker
Considered one of the greatest African players of all time, Milla made his debut for Cameroon in 1973 in a World Cup qualifier against Zaire.
He achieved international stardom at 38 years old, an age at which most forwards have retired, by scoring four goals at the 1990 FIFA World Cup and thus becoming the oldest goalscorer in World Cup history. He helped Cameroon become the first African team to reach the World Cup quarter-finals. Four years later, at the age of 42, Milla broke his own record as the oldest goalscorer in World Cup by scoring against Russia in the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Overall, he represented Cameroon at 3 FIFA World Cup tournaments in 1982, 1990 and 1994 tournaments.
Milla is also remembered for his trademark goal celebration of running to the corner flag and performing a dance. He is fond of the Lambada dance which he usually does in the corner of the soccer field after scoring a goal.
Milla also won the 1984 and 1988 AFCON tournaments and was also named the 1986 and 1988 AFCON top scorer.
He made 77 appearances and scored 43 goals for the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon.
1. Samuel Eto’o

Position: Striker
Now President of the Cameroon football federation, Samuel Eto’o’ is considered by many as the greatest footballer to ever come out of Africa.
Eto’o made his debut at the age of 17 for Cameroon in 1997 in a 5-0 friendly loss against Costa Rica. He participated in 4 World Cups (1998, 2002, 2010 and 2014). He won the 2000 and 2002 AFCON tournaments and also the Olympic gold medal in 2000. The former Barcelona forward won the African Cup of Nations top goalscorer in 2006 and 2008. He’s also the highest goal scorer in AFCON history with 18 goals.
Eto’o is the highest goal scorer for Cameroon with 56 goals in 118 caps for the Indomitable Lions.
