when asked by RFI journalist “…Do you think Salah is a much better player than he was in 2017?” Vincent Aboubakar said Mohamed Salah is a good player but the player doesn’t impress him much.

RFI Journalist: “We remember the African Cup Of Nations 2017 final won by Cameroon against Egypt, with your goal from the other side. On that day, Egyptian Mohamed Salah had made a beautiful final but lost. Generally speaking, he is stronger today than he was in 2017. What is your look on him”?

Vincent Aboubakar “I see him as before. He scores many goals in the Premier League and helps his country advance. Let the better team win. I wish him good luck. He does not impress me much. I say this clearly because I am honest and I have my way of seeing things. If he impressed me, I’d have said it. He’s a good player who scores a lot but be does not produce a lot of details in a game. He does well in the Premier League because he’s in a team that has been in place for years. He’s a good player but not to the level of players like Kylian Mbappe,” the Cameroon captain spoke to RFI.

Cameroon play Egypt today later in the evening as they both seek to secure a spot in the AFCON 2021 Finals. Cameroon defeated Gambia in the Quarter Finals 2-0 while Egypt defeated Morocco 2-1 after extra time to qualify for the Semi Finals.
