What Cameroon must do to Brazil to qualify for the Knockout stage at the FIFA WORLD CUP 2022. Multi-award Winning Cameroonian sports blogger Ade Divine explains 👇

 As it stands, Brazil are through to the knockout phase and may slow down a little bit in their clash with Cameroon, to prevent costly injuries. On the other hand, Switzerland face Serbia, with the Swiss needing a win to guarantee qualification. A draw may not be enough for them.

A draw for Switzerland will take them to 4 points, level with Cameroon if Cameroon beats Brazil. At this point, the first criteria to choose the better team is goal difference, and the second criteria is number of goals scored (at the moment, Cameroon has scored 3 while the Swiss have just 1).

Serbia will not make life easy for the Swiss. If the Serbs win and Cameroon wins, both sides will sit on 4 points each while goal difference and number of goals scored shall be used to choose the better side. Cameroon has a better goal difference (-1) than Serbia (-2) this moment. The best scenario for Cameroon will be to beat Brazil by any score and hope for a draw of less than 3 goals (0-0, 1-1,or 2-2) between Serbia and Switzerland. The only other possibly good scenario is a Serbia win over Switzerland. If Switzerland wins, it’s over for Cameroon.

We are in for a nail-biting Day 3 action. Note that both games will be played simultaneously to avoid any conditioning of one game by the other.
